FOUR A.M. is pleased to present a new painting by Shawn Kuruneru, Waverider 2016, pigment based India ink on reverse side of canvas, 30 x 84 inches on view through July 18, 2016. There will also be a take away poster created specifically for this show. 

Shawn Kuruneru was born in 1984 in Canada and currently lives and works in New York. Kuruneru received his B.F.A. from Concordia University in 2006. He has been in group exhibitions such as Nice Weather, curated by David Salle at Skarstedt Gallery, NY; Face to Face, curated by Eugenio Viola, Palazzo Fruscione, Salerno, Italy; Another, Once Again, Many Times More, Martos Gallery, NY; …But the Clouds…, Room East, NY; Day Job, The Drawing Center, NY. Solo exhibitions include Rotator, Cooper Cole Gallery, Toronto, Canada; Shawn Kuruneru, Brand New Gallery, Milan, Italy; Landscapes, David Petersen Gallery, Minneapolis, MN; Northern Song, ribordy contemporary, Geneva, Switzerland; The Object is Freedom, Blackston Gallery, NY; Cantorage, Night Gallery, Los Angeles, California. Kuruneru runs side effects gallery with Leah James in Brooklyn, NY. He also plays drums in the punk band Diet Choke with Bozidar Brazda and Ruby Aldridge.
