Sarah Peters was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1973 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA from the University of Pennsylvania, a certificate from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and her MFA in sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

Most recently, Peters had a solo exhibition of sculptures and drawings at Eleven Rivington Gallery, New York, NY in 2015. She participated in a two-person show with Mira Dancy at Asya Geisberg Gallery, New York, NY in 2014. Other solo exhibitions include Winkleman Gallery, New York, NY in 2010 and 2007; John Davis Gallery, Hudson, NY in 2013; The Front, New Orleans, LA in 2010; artSTRAND Gallery, Provincetown, MA in 2010; and Flippo Gallery, Randolph Macon College, Ashland, VA in 2013. Sarah’s work was included in group exhibitions at Regina Rex Gallery, Dodge Gallery, Lesley Heller Workspace, Monya Rowe Gallery, Feigen Contemporary (in NYC); The Granary, Sharon, CT; Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Provincetown, MA; MKG127 Gallery, Toronto, ON; the Morris Museum of Art, Morristown, NJ; and the John Michael Kohler Art Center, Sheboygan, WI among others.
