FOUR A.M. is pleased to present a new work by Aubrey Mayer on view at 291 Grand Street through June 6, 2016. Mayer's new work titled: Jamian Juliano Villani 12.15.15 vertical Page 3 (Unedited), 2016 is an unique dye sublimation print on a chromogenic aluminum panel with white wood frame.
In conjunction with his presentation, Mayer has published a limited edition book Aubrey Mayer 12.15.15 with Jamian Juliano Villani. Shot in Villani's Brooklyn studio on December 15, 2015; this book comprises 725 images across 534 pages and documents the artist work on two paintings. Aubrey Mayer was born in New York City in 1985 and lives and works in Orient, NY. Previous solo exhibitions include: Portraits, Contact Sheets, Books, Westreich/Wagner's Project Space, New York; New Portraits, White Columns, New York; Portraits, Martos Gallery, New York curated by Bob Nickas. Group exhibitions include: A Scanner, Darkly, David Lewis Gallery, New York; Stonescape, works from the collection of Norman and Nora Stone organized by Thea Westreich Art Advisory, Napa Valley, CA; The Perpetual Dialogue, Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York. Selected press includes, Artforum and Zing Magazine. Mayer's work has appeared in such publications as W Magazine, Modern Painters, Flaunt, Interview Magazine, Flaunt, and S Magazine. His portraits have also appeared in Taschen and Gagosian published catalogues. Mayer is included in both public and private collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
